TEKScan is a powerful, affordable check scanning system that is designed for applications where the volume of checks per day is moderate (100-400 or so) yet detail requirements are high.

TEKScan utilizes one-check-at-a-time Magtek scanners that capture the image of the check front, the MICR information (bank routing number, account number, check number), and assign other information such as department or branch number, date, and user-defined classification code.

TEKScan develops and maintains both a check database and a donor's database, with connections between the two. TEKScan can import payor/donor lists from outside financial systems such as QuickBooks and Peachtree Accounting, compare incoming checks with the donor database, and produce reports and summaries of activity.

The resulting images can be printed, emailed, or faxed. Images can be stored to fixed disk, then purged to CD. The program can find them or prompt for insertion of the proper CD later when the images need to be retrieved.
