Cars R Us

Early LOTUS type 51. I drove all the major east cost
tracks in this car - Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, Nelson Ledges,
Bryar, Lime Rock, Pocono. This picture is at Bryar (Laconia, N.H.)
where we heard an excellent Doc Watson concert over in Putney, VT.

A Lola T-142(I think it was) with custom body and suspension
carrying a Honda CBX motorcycle engine (2nd in division 1982). This
car ran the last ever race (the "last chance Grand Prix")
at Continental Divide Raceway, Castle Rock, CO. I taught the SCCA
driver's school held there

Hand built (by me) C/SR Honda aluminum 1170/1248 powered Sports
Racer c. 1975, Lake Afton KS Nationals. I believe this was the first
real Honda Civic powered race car in the US, built in 1974 from
an earlier (perhaps PBS) chassis, Legrand Wheels, Warren Body, Hewland
Mk6, dell'orto carbs, 820 lbs.

1974 Honda
SuperCivic at 1978 Elkhart Lake June Sprints -the Bolus & Snopes
Car. At left is Gene McKnight, crew chief extraordinary...The engine
dropped a valve at 8200rpm in Canada Corner, but what a great ride...
